The film grew from a personal place. As a father watching his own son face teasing and isolation for choosing ballet, director Scott Gormley spent two years documenting the struggles these young men face — and what keeps them dancing anyway.
Featuring first-person accounts from students at the Houston Ballet and American Ballet Theatre academies, and professionals including James Whiteside, John Lam, Harper Watters, Derek Dunn, and Patrick Frenette.

NUARTS Productions is the creative practice of Scott Gormley — a New York-based director, producer, and executive storyteller with over two decades of experience spanning narrative documentary film and the highest levels of corporate communications.
